Snow Ode

Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow, Snow.
Falling, beautifully and gently to the ground
Covering evergreens with crisp, white bows
Everything is clean, making no sound
Fresh, new, falling gently from above
A thick blanket hiding the warmth in
The snow is like an uncaged white dove
All is still, beautiful silence, no din

School is out, kids run out from everywhere
Snow!  Heaven has fallen to the earth
It flies from hands and feet, without a care
Snowmen appear with a gigantic girth
Hats, mittens, scarves, clothing to keep them warm
Sleds fly swiftly down every hill
Bumps eject you but causing little harm
Kids can do whatever they want with will

New-fallen snow is not fresh anymore
It is hard and dented with footprints
To the children, it is a known bore
Snowmen are frozen with cold to the core
THe sun does not reflect on the ground
Beauty is gone along with the fun
Begins to melt, the snowman is a mound
It is Spring when everything is said and done.
